The biggest iMac ever, Apple has now released an iMac with a 24" flat panel screen.

Up until recently the largest television I ever owned was 19 inches. Now apple has made it possible to get a computer bigger, much bigger with it’s 24” widescreen iMac.

For those of you not familiar with iMac, an iMac is a self-contained computer. The computer is in fact only a monitor, with no tower to save on space and to be more ascetically pleasing. iMacs are great computers for internet, video editing, and working with digital pictures, and will fit anywhere you can fit a flat panel monitor. In this case, anywhere you can fit a 24” flat panel monitor.

This new iMac has an Intel Core Duo chip, and comes loaded with iLife 06’, a software suite that gives you everything you need to edit your own movies, create photo albums f your favorite pictures, write a song, or create a webpage.

One neat feature of this years iMac’s in general is that they come with an iSight camera built in. iSight is a web camera that will allow you to shoot your own podcasts or short video clips from right in front of your computer. The camera can also be used to video chat with co-workers or friends around the world.

The 24” iMac is available from the Apple store for around $2000, you can get a smaller 17” version for around $1000.
