A look at iSight, the digital camera built into Apple's new MacBook Pro.
Apples new MacBook Pro is the newest laptop available from Apple. The laptop is getting a lot of attention for running on an Intel chip, another new feature of the laptop however is iSight.
What is iSight?
iSight is a built in digital camera and camcorder. Along the same lines as a web cam, iSight is built into the top of the MacBook's screen so you take it with you where ever you take your Mac. The camera is incredibly small, and comes with every new MacBook as a standard feature. Never before has a webcam been a "built in" feature in a laptop computer.
What can I do with it?
iSight is designed to work along with Mac's iLife software package. You can use iSight to record a podcast, or in iChat AV to chat with friends and family far away using video. The camera also integrates well with iPhoto and iMovie, so you can use the camera to take still shots of yourself to send to friends or post on a webpage, or to make movies that can be printed to DVD or emailed to people far away.
As the internet changes more and more businesses are meeting in chat rooms rather than boardrooms. With your entire team using MacBook's, you can not only chat with each other, but see each other as well.
I think this is one of the neatest new features of the MacBooks. It really makes them set apart even more from their competition.
